2trg's History
2004
- Technology Recycling Group (TRG) founded in Reading, Ohio to provide e-waste recycling services.
2005
- National Technology Resource Group (NTRG) founded in Louisville, Kentucky to provide cabling and deployment services.
- TRG moves from a 2,000 square foot warehouse to 20,000 square feet of office and warehouse space in St. Bernard, Ohio.
2006
- TRG and NTRG merge to create an implementation solution for the lifecycle of electronics.
2008
- TRG and NTRG are rebranded as 2trg.
- 2trg Louisville opens in Louisville, Kentucky to serve as a project management office for cabling projects, a sales office, and a collection point for recycling.
2009
- 2trg Cincinnati moves from St. Bernard to its current 140,000 square foot facility in Blue Ash, Ohio.
- 2trg Cincinnati installs the CRT Heaven, one of four in the world configured to safely and efficiently cut and separate CRT glass.
- 2trg signs the Electronics Recycler's Pledge of True Stewardship and is qualified as an e-Steward by the Basel Action Network.
2010
- 2trg achieves a 316% growth in revenue from 2008-2010 with 255 employees.
2011
- 2trg is a finalist for the Cincinnati Business Courier's Green Business Award.
- 2trg Geneva opens in Geneva, New York and serves as a collection point for recycling.
- 2trg Louisville expands from 5,000 square feet to 6,400 square feet.
- 2trg wins the Cincinnati Business Courier's Fast 55 Award for the fastest growth in the revenue category of $5.1 million to $10 million.
- 2trg Cincinnati installs a Shred-Tech shredding and sorting system to shred and separate up to 4 tons of recyclables per hour.
- 2trg is a finalist for the 2011 Inc.credible Greening/Sustainability Award.
- 2trg is ranked #816 in the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing private companies in America and ranked #6 in the Environmental Services industry group.
- 2trg Cincinnati becomes e-Stewards, Responsible Recycling (R2), ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007 certified.
