Selecting a Hard Drive Recycler

Privacy laws and standards like the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Fair and Accurate Credit Transaction Act (FACTA), and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) are forcing companies to take hard drive disposal and hard drive shredding seriously.

Hard Drive Recycling and Disposal

Making sure the data on hard drives is destroyed is crucial when disposing of end-of-life or defective computers. Reformatting, punching, or drilling hard drives is not enough! 2trg understands the importance of your data’s security, and we guarantee that your data will be properly sanitized. 2trg provides hard drive recycling and hard drive disposal that eliminates the worry of identity theft or theft of proprietary or sensitive information. Based on individual client requirements, 2trg will:

Seeing is believing

2trg allows clients to witness the destruction of their hard drives on site. Clients are welcome to watch the hard drive shredding process and magnetic media shredding at 2trg by appointment. Email to arrange an appointment or call 1.888.263.0888.

If your security needs do not require the severity of hard drive disposal, 2trg also offers hard drive recycling. This process involves the usage of overwrite software (meeting NIST SP 800-88 requirements) that electronically clears the data on your hard drive while leaving the hard drive intact. This hard drive recycling process keeps your hardware out of landfills while providing the assurance that your data is removed.

2trg will also provide a Certificate of Destruction to keep on file and relieve you or your business of any further liability.
